Polish legal system supporting PA from the perspective of a targeted father

Maciej Witczynski

Maciej Witczynski.

Maciej Witczynski is a father alienated from his 15-year-old daughter. This fact caused them to lose a close emotional bond with each other. The situation has been going on for over 5 years now.

The reasons for the daughter's complete rejection of her father were not only the alienating attitudes of her mother but also the very strong support for the mother and the discrimination of the father shown by the institutions of the Polish state. These institutions, such as the Police, Social Welfare, Prosecutor's Office, Health Service, School, Judges, Probation Officers, Court Experts, Office of the Ombudsman for Children, etc., almost uncritically accepted the woman's unreliable narratives and disregarded the father's description of reality. Due to the social myth of the so-called “Polish Mother”, many fathers are in a similar situation in Poland. There is a need to reform the legal system, but the issue has not been noticed by the Polish authorities yet. Maciej will also point out the factors that helped him not to give up in this frustrating reality. Most likely, the same factors are helping his daughter maintain some emotional stability despite the trauma she has been experiencing.
