Davíð Þór Björgvinsson.

Davíð Þór Björgvinsson is a former judge at the European Court of Human Rights. He is presently a professor and Dean of the Faculty of law at University of Akureyri. He has earlier served a professor at University of Iceland, Reykjavik University and University of Copenhagen. He has also over the last years served as a Judge and Vice-president of the Icelandic Court of Appeal. Among his numerous publications in the field of law is a book on Child Law (Barnaréttur) (1995) which has been a used as textbook for law students in Iceland since its publication.
